Mutual Dreaming Through Dance

The first episode of our new talk show concept kicks off with a special guest appearance by Nikita Goile - an artist exploring the creative space of movement through her work as a contemporary dancer and choreographer. Niko & Nikita join forces in the Refuge Worldwide studio in Berlin, in order to undertake one highly non-scientific experiment, exploring the uniting power of music and dance. Listening to a selection of tracks, whilst blindfolded, they attempt to discover whether the imaginary worlds, colours and textures we see when we close our eyes in the dance, have anything in common. We invite you to join us on this journey, dance in the dark together with us and share your experiences in the comments.
Originally from Reunion Island, Nikta is a dancer, performer and choregrapher. Her interest in art, in each and every form it can take drove her to open up her horizon, experimenting with video dance, visual artists, Dis, architects... After spending some time In Israel, she joined for several years the National Dance Company of Malta and Wales, interpreting works from more than a dozen Choreographers from all over the world. It became an evidence she wanted to further her own vision, and create for herself as she was commissioned for the first time to choreograph, Ecrit.
In order to combine her work as an interpret she leaves Wales to freelance in London and Reunion Island while she creates Kah Company to produce her first solo, In the Palm of your Hand.
Most recently her choreography has touched diverse corners of the culture scene: from her third creation Lillit’s Voice commissioned and performed by the English National Ballet in London to her solo, which she performed at the 2022 edition of Waking Life Festival.
